Heavenly Sword and Ratchet and Clank movies incoming

CG animation studio, Rainmaker Entertainment along with Blockade Entertainment, have secured the rights to bring a Ratchet and Clank movie to the big screen in 3D.

Rainmaker who has worked on Escape from Planet Earth seem to be big fans of the series and want to make sure the Ratchet and Clank movie delivers in every way possible. They even went ahead and brought the original voice cast. Nice! The President of of Rainmaker, Michael Hefferon, has also stated that the movie will not only be aimed at fans but to a broader audience as well.
You don’t’ want to alienate the core people that made this franchise so successful, but at the end of the day, the game itself is irrelevant. It’s all about what you’re seeing on that screen. It’s about going to see a fantastic animated movie.
While I admire  the enthusiasm I can't help but feel that there will be some changes, but then again this will be an origin story so who knows.

The Ratchet and Clank movie is expected to come out early 2015...Oi! Wait, where you going? I still got something else to tell ya.

Aside from Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword will also gets its shot at the big screen...or at least the biggest screen in your house. Blockade haven't said much, only that it's coming straight to dvd/bluray/digital.

I would've honestly imagined Heavenly Sword on the big screen and Ratchet on home video. Weird...
